This study investigates the influence of local culture on education, focusing on how educational practices can be adapted to reflect the cultures and traditions of school communities. The research seeks to understand how the integration of local culture can enhance teaching effectiveness and strengthen students' cultural identity. The literature review includes contributions from nine renowned Brazilian authors, each presenting unique perspectives on the relationship between culture and education. The critical analysis of the reviewed texts evaluates how these theoretical approaches can be applied in educational practice to promote a more inclusive and respectful learning environment of cultural diversities. This study concludes that valuing local cultures in the school context is essential for developing pedagogical methods that meet the students' needs and potential, respecting their cultural roots.
