The article discusses the prospects for using user-generated content to create a brand for Vladivostok as a center for international cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. As part of the modern Russian policy of “Pivot to the East”, work is underway to diversify economic and trade cooperation between Russia and the world and refocus attention on the Asian direction, primarily on the leading economies of Pacific Asia. Countries such as China are beginning to play an increasingly important role in the modern development of Russia. Vladivostok, as the administrative center of the Russian Far East, the largest city in terms of population and the center of economic development of the federal district, faces the challenge of creating an effective brand that should be built on effective humanitarian and economic cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The author describes the basic principles of working with user-generated content as part of solving this problem.
