Abstract

This protocol is for isolation of genomic DNA from Aiptasia (Exaiptasia diaphana) polyps. It works with both symbiotic and aposymbiotic polyps of medium size and produces DNA suitable for PCRs. The final yield depends on the size and number of anemones used but should generally lie around 50-100 ng/µL in 50 µL volume.
