Abstract A 75-year-old male came to the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Indra Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, with a complaint of defective vision in the left eye for the past 2 years. On examination, his visual acuity was finger counting close to face in the left eye, and the cornea had a large superior Descemet membrane detachment (DMD). DMD is a very common intra-operative complication in cataract surgery, specifically for beginners. Medical management was started, but no improvement was noted, following which an injection of C3F8 was planned.
