Abstract

Objective: Brasília, the republican capital of 1960, comes closer to the daily violence of Rio de Janeiro, today hostage to the militia and drug trafficking. As UNESCO heritage sites, the modern capital project contrasts with the neoclassical architecture of the center of Rio de Janeiro. Methodology: As a panoptic architectural model, Brasilia was occupied by civilian vandals who invaded the National Congress under the encouragement of former president Bolsonaro, with the threat of a military coup on 01/08/2023, after Lula's inauguration on 01/01/2023. Conclusion: It is assumed that the architectural-urbanistic form of the two federal capitals is grammatical with models of political centralization and decentralization over time.
