This paper explores the connection and cooperation between the National Library of Serbia and libraries in the Republic of Srpska. It provides an overview of the numerous and diverse activities that have made this cooperation increasingly intensive from the end of the war in 1995 to the present day. The number of participating libraries, as well as the fields in which experiences and practices are exchanged, continues to grow. As a national library, the National Library of Serbia fulfills its mission through this cooperation by fostering preservation, development and promotion of the language, script, culture and identity of the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina River. This strong partnership also contributes to the advancement and development of library and information services in both Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
