Abstract

Today, the addiction to smartphones has been increasing among all people in general and children in particular. Therefore, the present study aimed to explore the negative impacts of children’s addiction to smartphones from the perspective of parents in Jordan. The researchers adopted the qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain data. They developed a twenty-seven item questionnaire. They passed the questionnaire forms to 400 school students chosen from two primary schools, two kindergartens and a nursery in Amman, Jordan. The researchers asked those students to let their parents fill in the forms. (300) questionnaire forms were filled by students’ parents. They were analyzed. The researchers interviewed twenty mothers whose children are enrolled in a primary school in Amman, Jordan. All the members of the sample were chosen purposively.
