Based on the concept of the aesthetic field, the article analyzes the three main continents of this field: «aesthetic experience»,«aesthetic object»,and «aesthetics of the third».It provides a historical and theoretical overview of each of these continents, underlying their specific features in terms of their formation and current state. In case of analysis of aesthetic experience, it is important to avoid simplifying it by reducing it to «aesthetic evaluation»,«disinter estedness»,or «aesthetic attitude».The analysis of the aesthetic object shows that understanding it as art has opened up new perspectives for aesthetics, but it has also led to the reduction of aesthetics to the philosophy of art. The analysis of the «aesthetics of the third» phenomenon emphasizes that this continent is currently understood as the everyday aesthetics or the aesthetics of atmosphere, which are characterized by overcoming the concept of the aesthetic subject and the aesthetic object. The article also shows the possibilities of analyzing the three described continents of the aesthetic field from the perspective of Ch. S. Peirce’s ideas about firstness, secondness, and thirdness. The article outlines the prospects for further study of the three continents in aesthetics and concludes by expanding the possibilities of aesthetic analysis methodology.
