This study aims to examine the impact of childhood trauma on adult interpersonal problems, focusing on the dual mediation of adult attachment and internalized shame. A survey was conducted with 224 adults aged 20 to 50 in Seoul, and data were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 and Process Macro 4.1 (models 4 and 6). The results revealed that childhood trauma significantly influenced adult interpersonal problems. Additionally, adult attachment partially mediated and internalized shame fully mediated the relationship between trauma and interpersonal problems. The findings suggest that childhood trauma affects not only past experiences but also adult attachment and internalized shame, which in turn impact interpersonal relationship dynamics.
