The purpose of this article is to determine the location of Dongyakro (東略路), which created the opportunity for Gung-ye (弓裔) to break away from Yang-gil (梁吉), declare himself a general (將軍) in Myeongju (present-day Gangneung), become practically independent, and in particular, determine the location of 'Eojin (御珍)', which is the most controversial. First, as for the place names ‘Sedalsa Temple (世達寺)’ and ‘Chiaksan Seoknamsa Temple (雉岳山 石南寺)’, which appear in connection with Gung-ye’s birth and growth, I accepted the results of previous research. In other words, I admitted that Sedalsa Temple was located in 'Heunggyobungyo a.k.a. Heunggyo-Jeol' in Heungwol-ri, Nam-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, where the 'Seodal' name tile piece was excavated, and Chiaksan Seoknamsa Temple was located in 'Jeolgol', Seongnam-ri, Sillim-myeon, Wonju City, where the 'Seoknamsa Temple' name tile piece was excavated. Next, I explained that the place names 'Jucheon (酒泉)', 'Naeseong (奈 城)', 'Uloh (鬱烏)', and 'Eojin (御珍)' seen in Dongyakro are controversial, and based on Samguksagi 「Jiriji (Geography Section)」, the location of Jucheon was determined as Jucheon-myeon in present-day Yeongwol, Naeseong as present-day Yeongwol-eup, and Uloh as present-day Pyeongchang-eup. Lastly, I tried to determine the location of ‘Eojin (御珍)’. Most people believe that the location of ‘Eojin’ is what is now ‘Uljinseol (蔚珍說)’, but it is not certain and is open to discussion. Therefore, I attempted to find various related literature and archaeological materials, and intensively analyze them. Consequently, I established that ‘Eojin’ is present-day Imge-myeon, Jeongseon-gun. Ultimately, to determine the location of Dongyakro of Gung-ye after identifying the location of 'Eojin', we can see that Gung-ye advanced in the southern region of Gangwon-do, that is, Chiaksan Seoknamsa Temple- Jucheon (Yeongwol)-Naeseong (Yeongwol-eup)-Uloh (Pyeongchang-eup) -Jeongseon- It can be seen that it was moved to eup-Eojin (Imgye)- Sapdangryeong-Myeongju (Gangneung).
