Abstract In order to address the challenges of global climate change, countries have formulated corresponding measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, establish carbon emission trading markets for each country, and effectively promote carbon reduction and sustainable development. The construction of carbon market is a long-term and complex systematic project. Although China has made positive progress, it still faces problems such as insufficient regulatory enforcement, unstable carbon prices, inaccurate monitoring of carbon emissions, single trading entities and methods, imperfect market mechanisms, unstable operation, and lack of professional talents. Corresponding decision-making measures should be formulated to effectively control greenhouse gas emissions, increase control over the environment, further smooth the connection between the pilot trading market and the national carbon market, and explore the international cooperation path of China’s carbon emission trading market.
