The general principles of military leadership are defined, which have a decisive influence on values, traditions, motivation, professionalism, discipline, and interaction in the armed forces of all countries. The main provisions of the updated Doctrine of Military Leadership in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been formulated. Its study and implementation in the educational process, in the daily and combat activities of the Institute are the foundation for the development of military leader-officers. The development of military leadership in just a few years has moved from an abstract concept to a concrete set of actions and knowledge aimed at effective personnel management, development of thinking, and the ability to make immediate decisions in critical situations. Leadership is viewed as interrelated elements: the leader and the team. If leadership is defined as the art of motivating people to achieve a common goal, then a leader should be a person who can effectively apply their leadership qualities to lead the team forward. The general provisions of military leadership are defined, which have a decisive influence on the values, traditions, motivation, professionalism, discipline and interaction in the armed forces of all countries. The main provisions of the updated Doctrine of Military Leadership in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are formulated. The Institute’s leadership position among military higher education institutions of Ukraine is emphasized in terms of providing high-quality professional education and science, implementing advanced approaches to education quality management, and forming a new generation of military leaders. It is the Institute, as required by the Doctrine, that trains highly professional, motivated, and responsible officers capable of making informed decisions, acting effectively in the face of modern security challenges, and ensuring the stability and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Operational goals for the development of the Institute until 2030 have been determined. Namely: implementation of the conceptual principles of military leadership in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and general trends in the development of military leadership at the national and international levels into educational activities. Operational tasks for solving operational goals specify the algorithm for their achievement.
