On May 22, 2025, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Penal Law and the Execution of Sentences" in memory of Professors N. A. Struchkov and M. P. Melentyev was held in Ryazan on the basis of the Academy of the FPS of Russia, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of its holding. The event was co- organized by the St. Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, in addition to the Department of Penal Law and the Organization of Educational work with Convicts at the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. This conference identified areas for further improvement of the theory, legislation and practice of implementing the institution of probation and the execution of sentences, including in the context of improving the effectiveness of preventing offenses of convicts and other persons subject to probation, as well as achieving the goals of penal legislation and probation goals.
