The sacred scriptures bestowed upon us by our Almighty affirm that the foundation of the universe is established upon divine love. Every element in creation- from the minutest atom to the vast cosmos- exists in harmonious unity. Even when disrupted, these elements tend to return to their primordial state, guided by the gravitational force of divine love. This love governs all, and those disconnected from it remain estranged from their true essence. This article explores the concept that divine love is the cornerstone of Sufi mysticism and gnosis. It is a recurring theme in the teachings of great Sufi masters. One such luminary is Jalal al-Din Rumi, whose profound expressions of divine love illustrate its depth and universality. Rumi's perspective emphasizes that the essence of love is boundless, with each verse interconnected, reflecting the infinite nature of divine affection. Before delving into Rumi's ocean of love, it is essential to recognize that divine love manifests in various forms. This study examines the distinctions between divine love and human affection, highlighting their influence on Sufi practitioners.
