The traditional study of modernity pays more attention to the time and historical dimension, but ignores the spatial dimension. The relationship between space and literature is that space is not only the premise and premise of literary creation, but also the object of literary creation. From the connotation of modernity, it includes secularization, rationality and rationalization, subjectivity, industrialism, capitalism and market economy. Karatani Kojin established the spatial view of the “origin” of modern literature, and pointed out its invisible end, reminding us that when the structure of spatial perception changes, it is also the “internal power” of literature that appears. From the perspective of environmental adjustment affecting the modernity of literary ecological environment, this study studies the literary creation itself, rationalization and refinement, as well as the interaction effect between rationalization and refinement. The results show that there is a U-shaped dynamic relationship between rationalization and refinement in the Japanese literature ecosystem.
