ABSTRACT The authors introduce the Bio‐Ecological Cross‐Cultural Supervision (BECCS) model aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of supervision for mental health professionals who work with culturally diverse clients. The basic tenets of our approach are grounded in humanistic principles that recognize the dignity and potential of supervisees and clients, emphasizing their propensity for growth, self‐actualization, and empathic connection. The BECCS model supports clinical supervisors who supervise clinicians working with refugees, immigrants, and other marginalized individuals by integrating humanistic principles within a culturally responsive, trauma‐informed, and social justice advocacy environment that contributes to promoting growth, awareness, and empowerment of their supervisees.
