This position paper explores the integration of digital literacy into English language education, with a focus on developing students' skills for the 21st century. The objectives of this study are to examine the importance of digital literacy in English education, investigate the impact of digital education tools on student engagement and learning outcomes, and provide recommendations for effective integration of digital literacy into English language instruction. The paper argues that incorporating digital education tools into English language instruction is essential for developing students' skills in critical thinking, creativity, and communication. Based on the findings, this paper recommends that English educators prioritize digital literacy in their teaching practices, incorporate multimedia resources into their instruction, and provide opportunities for students to develop their digital composition skills. By integrating digital literacy into English education, educators can better prepare students for success in an increasingly digital world.
