Motivation: MRI image quality is often compromised due to limited SNR and B0 inhomogeneity, necessitating solutions that can address both issues simultaneously. Goal(s): To develop a single coil design that enhances local SNR while providing active B0 shimming without requiring modifications to existing RF receive arrays. Approach: The PRAD coil integrates passive RF and active DC components to function as a wireless resonator for SNR improvement and as a B0 shimming coil for correcting field inhomogeneities. Results: The PRAD coil demonstrated effective SNR enhancement and B0 shimming capabilities, with minimal impact on RF transmission and seamless integration with commercial MRI systems. Impact: This versatile coil design provides a practical method for improving MRI image quality without extensive hardware modifications, potentially enhancing diagnostic capabilities.
