Motivation: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) poses diagnostic challenges due to its similarity in left ventricular function to that of healthy individuals. Goal(s): This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) parameters to differentiate HFpEF. Approach: A retrospective analysis of CMR and echocardiography data were performed on heart failure patients to evaluate left ventricular function, Native T1, extracellular volume(ECV), and myocardial strain parameters. Results: The results showed that Native T1 and combined strain parameters were effective in distinguishing HFpEF from normal cardiac function, with Native T1 showing the highest diagnostic accuracy. Impact: The findings of this study could improve early detection of HFpEF, leading to better clinical management and improved patient outcomes.
