In modern era, Indian scientists continue to make significant contributions to both theoretical and applied mathematics. This article explores the impact of contemporary Indian mathematicians in diverse fields such as number theory, algebraic geometry, computational mathematics, and mathematical physics. The study highlights key breakthroughs, including advancements in prime number theory, cryptography, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Through a literature review and analysis of major contributions, this paper examines the role of Indian researchers in shaping global mathematical discourse. It also discusses interdisciplinary applications in engineering, computer science, and finance, demonstrating how Indian mathematicians are driving innovation. Additionally, the paper identifies challenges such as funding limitations, academic brain drain, and research infrastructure constraints, while proposing strategies to further enhance India's position in the global mathematical community.
