The work is devoted to the analysis of the use of the forest fund of timber enterprises from the point of view of preserving undergrowth and thin-grained trees left during the operation of logging machines. The article considers the issue of the influence of the duration of the operator's technological work on the damage to the undergrowth and suggests an alternative schedule for the operation of the harvester in a two-shift mode with an 8‑hour work shift.
