Abstract Sale of pulpwood in Louisiana has become an important source of income to farmers. Although the price paid per cord dropped from 5. 00 in 1929 to as low as 3. 25 in 1931 at one mill, the volume production has been maintained. The importance of planning a current cash income in forestry practices is emphasized. The need of better statistics on the sale of forest products is pointed out.
