The paper attempted group segmentation by type through latent class analysis to find out the pattern of enjoying cultural arts viewing and participation in sports among the major leisure of the people. Specifically, after grasping the existence of an omnivore group that accepts various genres based on the omnivore theory in the Korean leisure market, the determinants of this group were researched. Furthermore, understanding the fluidity of the two major areas of leisure activities by checking whether cultural and arts viewing omnivore and sports participation omnivore enjoy each other's areas in a variety of ways rather than just their areas will be studied. Using the “2022 National Leisure Activity Survey data”, the study derived a sum of four groups into the non-participation group, the visual art group, the popular culture group, and the cultural arts omnivore group according to the cultural arts viewing pattern, and three groups were derived into the non-participation group, the fitness group, and the sports omnivore group according to the sports participation pattern. In addition, we studied what determinants each group is affected by through multinomial logit. The main result is that the cultural arts omnivore group has impact on cultural capital than economic capital, while the sports omnivore group has impact on economic capital than cultural capital. In addition, the cultural arts omnivore group enjoyed a variety of sports activities as well as cultural artistic viewing of various genres, and the sports omnivore group was also found to be more likely to view cultural arts in a variety of ways. This study is meaningful in that it provided crucial information in the development of leisure activity programs that enable the convergence of sports and cultural and arts. In addition, it is expected that specific policy measures, such as expanding opportunities for cultural arts viewing and sports participation and improving access for the culturally disadvantaged, can provide policy implications for promoting the physical and mental health of the public.
