The purpose of the study is to trace the poet's path from Nizhny Novgorod to Kazan, to note the importance of the role played by a native of Chuvashia N.Ya. Bichurin in his work on the "History of Pugachev", about the role of the poet's creativity in the development of the Chuvash literary language, literature, theory and methodology of trans-lation from Russian into Chuvash. The empirical basis of the research is the archival documents of the Chuvash State Institute of Humanities (Cheboksary, Russian Federation) found by the authors and introduced into scientific circulation. These materials contain information about individual historical details of A.S. Pushkin's activities in the chronological period under consideration. The documents held in these archives are the most important historical information carriers. In addition, the systematized collections, translated literature containing archival documents, important additional infor-mation are a significant source for disclosure of the stated topic. A.S. Pushkin's creative work went far beyond literary activity. The research work of A.S. Pushkin in the work "The History of Pugachev" has not been widely reflected in his-torical science. There are few sources that have preserved data on the research activity of A.S. Pushkin on the "History of Pugachev". A.S. Pushkin is not only a great national poet but also a talented historian, critic and journalist, editor and publisher of the magazine. His creative research left a deep mark in the national history. Pushkin, a journalist, has writ-ten more than 100 literary-critical, journalistic articles and articles written in the genre of polemics. 50 of them were published in the periodical press during his lifetime. He managed to prove himself in a new capacity as an outstanding historian-researcher and made a huge contribution to historical science with his works "The History of Pugachev", "The Captain's Daughter". The great genius of Russian poetry A.S. Pushkin and Chuvashia are connected by the poet's arrival in Chuvashia, his works about the Chuvash, translations of creativity into the Chuvash language by Chuvash poets and writers, his friend-ship with N.Ya. Bichurin, an outstanding world-class scientist, the founder of Russian Oriental studies. A.S. Pushkin's trip to collect material for the historical novel "The Story of Pugachev" through Cheboksary to Kazan, his meeting with the Fuchs couple, correspondence with them contributed to the development of A.A. Fuchs' creativity. The creative heritage of A.S. Russian Russian, translations of his works into the Chuvash language played a huge role in the origin and formation of Chuvash literature and literary language, theory and practice of translation from Russian into the Chu-vash language. A.S. Pushkin is one of the most translated and read Russian poets in the Chuvash Republic.
