This article explores the distinctive compositional style of Myroslav Skoryk as an aesthetic model uniquely attuned to the spirit of our time—offering a deeply spiritual reflection of essential human values through nonverbal means, artistic principles, and ideals. The key features of Skoryk’s musical language are identified, among which national characteristics, high professional mastery, and the composer’s innovative thinking occupy a prominent place. A comprehensive analysis is conducted on the formation of Skoryk’s distinctive style and its influence on the development of contemporary Ukrainian musical culture. It is demonstrated that the structure of his compositional style is inherently original — in the truest sense, unrepeatable. The article outlines the main components and distinctive features that shaped Skoryk’s unique artistic voice, viewed through the lens of his creative legacy as a carrier of musical expression of universal human values. It is revealed that Skoryk’s style formation was shaped by a complex system — both his own psychological attributes and the broader matrix of national artistic and aesthetic values of his era. The influence of Skoryk’s work on the formation of modern Ukrainian music is described, including its genre diversity and pronounced national orientation. Special emphasis is placed on the symbolic significance of the state award “National Legend of Ukraine” which highlighted Skoryk’s role in forming the contemporary Ukrainian musical world and underscored his deep connection to historical tradition. The article draws attention to the “mature balance” of Skoryk’s music and his aspiration toward acme-harmony — the highest form of artistic integrity — grounded in metavalues that govern human emotional perception. The features of contemporary music education are highlighted, focusing on the contradictory impact of artificial intelligence and remote learning on the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies among future arts professionals. The relevance of continued research into Ukraine’s contemporary artistic landscape is substantiated, given that art has become a powerful instrument of resistance in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
