Abstract The report of the Joint Congressional Committee on Forestry was transmitted to Congress on March 24, 1941. The author summarizes the important features of the recommendations and findings of fact. Having attended most of the hearings held by the Committee, Mr. Burt has had an unusual opportunity to study the Committee for the past two years. Members of the Committee include: John H. Bankhead, senator from Alabama, chairman; Hampton P. Fulmer, representative from South Carolina, vice chairman; Ellison D. Smith, senator from South Carolina; D.
