Abstract

Abstract President Renne outlines a broad approach to a forestry policy for the United States. Though prepared before recent reappraisal data were available for guidance his conclusions are nonetheless valid. His thoughtful statements on the fundamental relations between government and private property deserve full consideration by those now formulating policies for a national forestry program.
