The influence of the main parameters of thermal spraying on adhesion strength of the coating and the base surface is discussed. For the stages of heating, acceleration, transfer and contact, the relationships of parameters of the spraying process and the factors forming adhesion strength are exposed. The dependences of adhesion strength on technological parameters and spraying conditions were formalized for the operations of spraying and mechanical treatment of the functional resistant coatings.
