The article explores the peculiarities of implementing the Scrum framework in large organizations, focusing in particular on the challenges associated with scaling. Emphasis is placed on the key obstacles that arise during the adaptation of Scrum in environments with a high number of teams, complex hierarchies, and a significant level of interdependence among project participants. The specifics of scalable agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, and Nexus are examined, which allow the synchronization of multiple Scrum teams and ensure product integrity. The paper analyzes scientific approaches by Ukrainian authors to evaluating the effectiveness of scaled Scrum, presents practical cases and techniques for overcoming typical scaling barriers, such as lack of transparency, communication difficulties, function duplication, and weak stakeholder involvement. It defines the criteria for successful implementation of scaled Scrum based on organizational readiness, team maturity, executive support, and infrastructure availability. The findings of the study are relevant for IT department leaders, project managers, and consultants working on transformational projects in the context of digital enterprise evolution. Moreover, the study emphasizes the importance of fostering an agile mindset across all levels of the organization, not just within delivery teams. Leadership engagement, iterative learning, and the promotion of cross-functional collaboration are viewed as essential enablers of successful scaling. The paper also highlights that scaling Scrum is not merely a technical adjustment, but a strategic transformation that requires alignment of vision, clarity in roles, and consistent feedback mechanisms.
