Abstract This paper focuses on the brushless DC motor system. Complexity analysis is used to study the basic chaotic dynamic behavior of the system. Second, based on the active-finite-time control theory, a feedback controller for the system is proposed. Finally, relevant simulations of the controller are carried out using MATLAB software. The simulation results show that the designed controller has a stronger fast-response ability compared with traditional controllers and is easy to implement in engineering.
