The article reveals the role of information security in Russia’s national security and notes that digital, information and financial threats are increasing in the context of digitalization. The article analyzes the number of crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies, the number and type of loans taken by borrowers, and the number of bankruptcy cases filed in the Russian Federation in 2022–2024. The article also provides an overview of the main approaches to defining financial literacy and explores the impact of financial literacy on the socio-economic development of the country and its information security.
