The article considers topical issues of regulation of agricultural and agro-industrial production in conditions of sanctions pressure and international challenges. Particular attention is paid to the generalization of international experience in stimulating both the main activities of agricultural producers and ensuring farm income through diversification. An analysis of the implementation of the Doctrine of Food Security of the Russian Federation in modern conditions was carried out. The need to intensify economic measures to regulate the inflow of investment resources into agro-industrial production is justified.
