The agro-industrial complex (AIC) of the Krasnodar region is a key sector of the region’s economy, ensuring food security and contributing to socio-economic development. In the context of modern challenges such as sanctions, competition, and technological lag, there is a need to attract investments for the modernization and development of the AIC. This highlights the relevance of improving state support measures aimed at stimulating investment activity. Numerous studies on state support for the AIC have been presented in the literature, both in Russia and abroad; however, there are gaps in the understanding of the effectiveness of existing measures and their impact on the investment climate, which requires further analysis. The aim of this research is to develop proposals for improving the system of state support for investments in the AIC of the Krasnodar region. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to analyze the current state of the investment climate, assess the effectiveness of existing support measures, identify factors that hinder investment activity, and justify the directions and mechanisms for enhancing state support. The object of the study is the investment processes in the AIC, while the subject is the mechanisms of state support. The research methodology includes general scientific methods, statistical analysis, and expert assessments, which will allow for the formation of well-founded recommendations to enhance the region’s competitiveness.
