In November 2018, a trial excavation was conducted northeast of H orbat Madhev in Jezreel Valley (Permit No. A-8189; map ref. 220818–47/719970–89; Fig. 1), following damage to antiquities in the course of infrastructure works by the Mekorot Company. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by R. Kapul (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Lavan (administration), M. Peleg (drone photography and photogrammetry), A. Shapiro (GPS and location map), D. Porotsky (plans), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery drawing), S. Goralik (metal laboratory), Z.
