In March 2020, a salvage excavation was conducted in Moshav Z ippori (Permit No. A-8695; map ref. 226073–97/738447–9; Fig. 1), prior to construction work. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Udi Segal, was directed by B. Tzin (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Yaakobi and Y. Lavan (administration), M. Peleg (photogrammetry and surveying), A. Shapiro (GIS and lithology; see appendix), H. Tahan-Rosen and E. Dalali-Amos (plans and figures), M. Krakovsky (flint tools), N. Getzov and D. Shalem (pottery), A. Shukron (regional archaeological inspector), B. Hanna (district archaeologist), R. Be’eri (scientific guidance), I. Milevski (scientific consultation) and laborers from Kafr Manda. G. Peled, R. Kapul and N. Shatil discovered the site and conducted preliminary inspections.
