This paper explores the current state and improvement strategies of multimedia-assisted art teaching. Through a thorough analysis of relevant literature and a questionnaire survey, it identifies both achievements and ongoing challenges in applying multimedia technology within art education. Key issues include the need for enhanced quality and quantity of multimedia teaching resources, the necessity of strengthening teachers' proficiency in multimedia instruction, and the importance of fostering students' autonomous learning and innovative thinking skills. To address these challenges, the paper proposes several strategies: strengthening the construction and management of multimedia teaching resources, enhancing teachers' multimedia teaching abilities and literacy, cultivating students' capacity for independent learning and creative problem-solving, and integrating multimedia teaching with traditional instructional methods. These strategies aim to elevate the quality and effectiveness of multimedia-assisted art teaching, ultimately promoting the reform and advancement of art education.
