Objects of Civilizational Security in a Globalizing World: A Philosophical Approach

In the 21st century, civilizational security occupies a special place in the system of global sustainability strategies. The article examines the key objects of civilizational security, including identity, collective memory, language, history and other semantic elements that determine the symbolic order and cultural subjectivity of civilization. The research is based on cultural, civilizational and socio-philosophical approaches, with an emphasis on categorizing the concepts of security, identity and civilizational sovereignty. Civilization is understood as a semantic and anthropological construct, the stability of which depends on the ability to maintain historical continuity and a way of thinking that sets ideas about what is due, just and possible. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the processes of destruction of the boundaries of civilizational security and the transformation of its semantic foundations under the influence of globalization. It is shown that the impact on identity functions as a form of “soft power” that undermines the ability of civilization to self-preservation. Ensuring civilizational security is interpreted as a way to protect the integrity of the cultural world of a person, nation and state in the context of blurring civilizational boundaries.
