“...Without Truth in Historical Science, There Can Be No Truth in Society”: about the Book “Professor Ivan Mikhailovich Ionenko: Personality and Time”

The reviewed monograph by P. S. Kabytov and N. A. Fedorova is a comprehensive study dedicated to the key stages of the life and scholarly work of Soviet historian I. M. Ionenko, who made significant contributions to the development of Russian historiography on the Great Russian Revolution and the Great Patriotic War. Using archival and published materials, the authors have managed to illuminate the life journey of their mentor and his development as a scholar in the field of historical science. The book examines I. M. Ionenkos pedagogical and organizational activities, his role in promoting historical knowledge, and improving historical education. Notably, the authors successfully demonstrate the high scholarly level and originality of I. M.
