Based on the analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the problem of forming personal and psychological competencies of future teachers, pedagogical conditions for the development of students in the process of physical education have been identified. In order to enhance the effectiveness of personal development and psychological readiness of students for future professional activity, the following psychological and pedagogical conditions were created: ensuring the emotional appeal of physical education classes by increasing the number of competitive exercises; expanding the set of physical tasks aimed at developing intellectual and moral-volitional qualities; fostering students’ psychological readiness for the gradual increase of physical activity intensity and overcoming challenges arising from the educational process. The purpose of the study is to verify the effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical conditions in the process of forming personal and psychological competencies of higher education students during physical education. The implementation of these pedagogical conditions ensured positive dynamics in the development not only of students’ physical abilities (speed, speed-strength, coordination, endurance, flexibility, and strength), but also of psychological qualities (memory, attention, determination, perseverance). This was achieved through the use of more technically complex teaching tools, variations in starting positions during familiar exercises, and the practice of complex game combinations for success in team sports. Such conditions required higher concentration of attention and memory, as well as active demonstration of determination, perseverance, and willpower from the students of the experimental group.
