With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in China, its impact on the Chinese labor market has become increasingly significant. This paper primarily investigates the impact of AI on the Chinese labor market, focusing on the emergence of new industries under AI development, changes in employment structure, and shifts in skill requirements. The importance of this issue lies in how China will adjust its strategies in the face of technological change to achieve economic growth and social stability. In terms of research methods, this paper combines recent Chinese conference records, literature reviews, case studies of typical industries, and relevant research reports to summarize the impact of AI on various aspects of the labor market. It also analyses the challenges and impacts of AI on different job positions using relevant domestic and international research data and charts. The study found that AI will replace jobs that are highly repetitive, low-skilled, and some intellectual labor positions. At the same time, AI has led to a continued widening of the income gap between high-income and low-income groups. However, under the development of AI, many emerging industries have emerged, and AI has also helped traditional industries achieve transformation and upgrading. The significance of this study lies in providing suggestions and academic support for China to address the impacts and challenges of AI on the labor market.
