Context and relevance. The social situation of human development is characterized by a high degree of uncertainty and unpredictability, which requires people to be able to function effectively under constant stress while maintaining the potential for personal growth and self-development. These challenges emphasize the importance of research in the field of psychological safety a scientific discipline that studies the conditions that contribute to the safe development of the individual and the mechanisms of environmental influence on the psychological well-being of people. Psychological safety of the educational environment of a higher education institution is considered an integral condition for ensuring academic effectiveness and as a key factor contributing to the social well-being of society as a whole. Objective to assess the psychological safety of students of a psychological and pedagogical university in different courses of study. Hypothesis. Students at higher education institutions have different levels of psychological safety at different stages of their studies. Methods and materials. The study involved 99 MSUPE students (bachelor's, specialist's, master's degree; Mage = 24.67; 84,8% women). Methodological basis: the structure of psychological security of the individual (Kostina L.V., 2023) based on the components: the stability of the individual in the environment, resistance (resilience) to internal and external influences, the experience of security/insecurity of the individual and the effectiveness of activities. Results. Nonlinear dynamics of students' psychological safety depending on the course of study was revealed. The relationship between the components of psychological safety and academic performance was confirmed. Conclusions. Determinants influencing the level of psychological safety of students have been identified (field of study, age, personality traits).
