The competence paradigm of education is developing in the context of digitalization of the educational environment of educational institutions. The digital transformation of the linguistic and professional training of future military engineering specialists requires the organization of personalized contextual learning through the im-plementation of a personal-activity approach to self-education. The creation of nonlin-ear variable individual educational trajectories allows us to guarantee the achievement of the quality of personal and professional communicative competencies. The aim of the study is to develop self-educational competence within the frame-work of autonomous training by focusing on the personalization of training in the con-text of future military professional activities. Research objectives: pedagogical design of digital transformation of linguistic and professional training of military engineering specialists in the context of infocommunication military professionally oriented digital educational environment; development of personalized self-learning technology by cre-ating variable nonlinear individual educational trajectories based on an adaptive auto-mated educational system with elements of artificial intelligence and using a probabil-istic expert quality system aimed at achieving guaranteed learning quality. Research methods: theoretical (analysis and synthesis of scientific categories, gen-eralization of innovative and own pedagogical experience, systematization and classi-fication of identified features); empirical (quantitative and qualitative analysis of peda-gogical experiment data among cadets of the 3rd year of technical training); diagnostic (testing, expert assessment method, methods of mathematical statistics). Research results: the technological basis and functional capabilities of linguistic and professional training of future military engineering specialists are based on the ap-propriate model of the infocommunication military professionally oriented digital educational environment of a military university. It is based on the information and knowledge flows that are being formed. The independence and self-organization of the personality of the subject is realized at the differential levels of the university (depart-ment, faculty) and universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation by creating the ARCTURUS-Web server application in the client-server system. The metabasis of the multi-vector educational content of linguistic and vocational training is located on the server, and the process of its automated formation is realized by the capabilities of an adaptive automated educational system, on the basis of which formative, control and diagnostic functions are implemented. The created system auto-matically recognizes grammatically functional images with a probability of at least 90%, depending on the complexity of grammatical structures in authentic military-technical texts. The diagnostic unit of the system determines self-educational competence criteria and controls the individual trajectory formed by artificial intelligence.
