Among several fields of scientific interests of Aron Gurevich was one focused on trends in recent historiography, new forms of historical study and interdisciplinary developments. The analysis of medieval popular culture has demanded an understanding of witchcraft studies, like Richard Kieckhefer and Carlo Ginzburg works. This article deals with some cases of methodology development and historiography synthesising in heresy and inquisition studies.
