Abstract Regeneration of loblolly pine stands in the West Gulf Coastal Plain involves accounting costs of 29 to 75 per acre but, at 10 percent interest, charges against the next crop may vary from 633 to 3, 644 per acre. Typical delay in regeneration may account for nearly 25 percent of the higher costs.
