This study was conducted to optimize the SOP of Karnapoorana using healthy volunteers and to establish clinically acceptable standards. A total of 100 healthy individuals were selected and subjected to Karnapoorana with Murchita Tila Taila. Parameters such as oil quantity, temperature, retention time, and comfort level were carefully assessed. The study revealed that the most acceptable amount of oil for local massage (Sthanika Abhyanga) is determined by its temperature, along with the duration. The ideal temperature for Tapa Sweda, along with its duration. An initial temperature of Karnapoorana and its temperature after 100 Matrakala, along with the time required. No adverse effects were reported. The results provide an evidence-based, standardized protocol for Karnapoorana, facilitating its safe and practical application in clinical practice.
