Abstract Sensitivity of 2-0 Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb.) Franco seedlings to exposure of roots under controlled conditions of temperature and moisture was found to vary with date of lifting, length of time in cold storage, and environmental conditions after planting. Low tolerance to exposureof their roots was indicated by low survival and reduced growth of survivors.
