Fentanyl is a potent synthetic opioid, 50 to 100 more potent than morphine. Midazolam is a short-acting Benzodiazepine, used as an aid in anesthesia. Both have dose dependent side effects, but if we use them together, smaller doses are needed. In this report we present three representative cases when we used this combination of medications for analgosedation, and fourth case when we used only fentanyl, because the patient was unconscious. This combination of medications has an advantage over other similar medications because we have antidotes for both medications and could not take lethal outcomes in overdosing. Also, side effects, primarily hypotension, are reduced when using each of these medications individually, but also together. Analgosedation is an important treatment for the most urgent patient for keeping stable vital signs.
