The article examines educational and professional socialization as a complex, multidimensional and dynamic process that occurs under the influence of educational, social, professional and personal factors. The significance of this process is analyzed in the context of labor market transformation, modernization of higher education and growth of public expectations regarding professional training. The content and specificity of the concept of "professional socialization" within the framework of the general socialization of the individual are revealed, its stages, mechanisms and factors influencing the successful integration of the student into the future professional environment are identified. A systematization of theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of educational and professional socialization is carried out, in particular pedagogical, psychological, cultural, philosophical and psychophysiological. A critical review of classical and modern theories of socialization in the context of professional training is carried out. A number of methods were applied: analysis, synthesis, classification of scientific sources, as well as theoretical modeling of the relationships between the elements of educational and professional socialization. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of interdisciplinary approaches and their potential for explaining the patterns of formation of students' professional identity. Separately, the factors of the internal development of a specialist's personality are highlighted - knowledge of one's own "I", self-development, motivation for professional choice and attitude to future work. It is noted that the educational and professional development of students begins in a higher education institution, but continues throughout life as a form of continuous socialization. New challenges facing the professional training system under martial law are highlighted. The research materials can serve as a theoretical basis for further empirical exploration and practical improvement of socialization strategies in the field of higher education
