Unified approaches to the regulation of vacations of employees of medical institutions are considered. The analysis of the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation “On the specifics of the procedure for calculating average wages” dated April 24, 2025, No. 540, effective from September 1, 2025, regulates the relevant procedures for the payment of vacations and compensation for unused vacations. Vacation guarantees provided by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and labor legislation are considered; certain issues of law enforcement, including partial granting of leave, postponement of leave and compensation for unused leave upon dismissal; administrative and financial liability measures applied to the employer for non-compliance with the employee’s right to leave.
