In complex environments involving multiple stakeholders, clear and transparent communication is vital for risk reduction and enhanced collaboration. Two main types of communication can be distinguished: human-to-human communication, essential for empathy and relationship-building, and human-to-technologies-to-human communication, which facilitates rapid information exchange and process automation. Engineering teams increasingly benefit from digital tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and various project management platforms, which enhance communication flows and strengthen collaborative efforts. Moreover, effective communication with stakeholders is crucial for project completion, requiring the use of structured strategies such as the RACI matrix and stakeholder analysis. Challenges related to cultural, linguistic, and specialization barriers can be overcome through continuous professional development, regular feedback mechanisms, and the adoption of innovative technologies. Promoting an open and transparent organizational culture, alongside the integration of modern communication technologies, is critical for improving both communication and project outcomes. Effective communication not only fosters collaboration but also mitigates risks and significantly increases the likelihood of project success. By adopting coherent communication strategies and leveraging appropriate technological tools, engineering teams can achieve their objectives more efficiently and collaboratively.
